Fully automatic — zero effort

Set your schedule once and forget it. Report in your inbox before you wake up.

Bite window predictor

New

48-hour visual timeline of your best fishing hours.

Live weather & tides

Current temp, 48-hour forecast, sunrise/sunset, and full tide predictions.

Sea surface temperature maps

Where warm and cold water meet — updated daily from NASA MUR satellite data. Pro only.

Chlorophyll edge mapping

Bait concentration edges detected from satellite data. Pro only.

Freshwater & saltwater

New

Any location in the US. Both worlds, dedicated intelligence for each.

Personal fishing journal

New

Every catch logged, tied to the report and conditions that put you on the fish.

Honest when conditions are tough

If the bite is slow or sources are thin, we say so. No padded reports, no fake confidence.

How it actually works

Every fisherman has those days they remember.

The day at the canal when water temp was 64°F, falling tide, and the stripers wouldn't stop. The June afternoon on the lake when bass were busting topwater for two hours straight. The July morning off the kelp paddies when yellowtail were boiling on the bait stop. You can probably picture three or four of yours right now without trying.

The thing is — those days had patterns. The water temperature, the tide, the wind, the time of day, the barometric pressure trend, the moon phase. They lined up in a specific way. And when those conditions line up again at the same spot, the fishing is often great again.

Most anglers know this intuitively. But nobody actually keeps track. The conditions get vague. The memory fades. You can't manually log every variable for every catch and cross-reference it against today's forecast every morning.

WaterWatcher does. Every catch you log gets a complete conditions snapshot — automatically. We remember what worked, then watch the forecast for days that look like your past banner days. When today resembles one, we tell you.

And we do the same with anglers nearby — anonymously. So even if you're new and haven't logged many catches yet, you benefit from the patterns other anglers in your waters have already established.

That's the whole product. The morning report, the bite windows, the satellite maps — those are the supporting cast. The pattern engine is the lead.

Everything above is included in your free 30-day trial.

Know exactly when to be on the water

The bite window predictor scores every hour of the next 48 using solunar tables, tide stage, wind speed, and dawn/dusk windows. You get a visual timeline showing your best opportunities — not a paragraph of conditions to interpret yourself.

  • Major and minor solunar periods calculated for your exact location
  • Tide stage scoring — early outgoing and late incoming ranked highest
  • Dawn and dusk windows automatically flagged
  • Wind and weather penalties applied in real time

Built for freshwater too — not adapted for it

WaterWatcher has a dedicated freshwater intelligence engine. River reports include USGS real-time flow data. Lake reports check thermocline and weed conditions. Every state's stocking reports are monitored. Freshwater anglers get a product built for them — not a saltwater tool with different words.

Your spots get smarter over time

As your reports accumulate, WaterWatcher builds a picture of seasonal patterns at each of your spots — which months are most active, what species show up when, and how conditions track over time.

  • Monthly activity heatmap across all your spots
  • Species frequency tracking across your report history
  • Water temperature trends over time
  • Automatically detected seasonal patterns
  • The longer you're subscribed, the more useful it gets
