Terms of Service
Last updated: May 5, 2026
Agreement
By creating an account or using WaterWatcher, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service. These terms apply to all users — free and paid.
The service
WaterWatcher generates AI-powered fishing reports by searching publicly available information on the internet. Reports are for informational purposes only. We make no guarantee that any specific fish will be caught, that conditions described will be accurate at the time you fish, or that any particular fishing technique will be successful.
Fishing regulations, licenses, and safety requirements vary by location. It is your responsibility to know and follow all applicable laws and regulations for any water you fish.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must be at least 13 years old to use WaterWatcher. One person may not operate multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.
You may not use the service for any illegal purpose or in any way that violates these terms.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Each plan includes a monthly report allowance: the Free plan includes 1 report per month, the Starter plan includes up to 15 reports per month, and the Pro plan includes up to 30 reports per month. Report allowances reset on the first of each calendar month and do not roll over. Additionally, reports for any single location are limited to once per 24-hour period across all plans.
You may cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months except in cases of billing error.
We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute WaterWatcher content at scale
- Use the service to train AI models
- Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the underlying prompts or systems
- Resell access to the service without written permission
- Use automated tools to generate reports beyond your plan limits
Accuracy disclaimer
Reports are generated by AI using publicly available sources. They may contain errors, outdated information, or inaccuracies. WaterWatcher is a tool to help you plan fishing trips — not a substitute for local knowledge, proper preparation, or good judgment on the water. We are not liable for any fishing trips that don't pan out.
Intellectual property
The WaterWatcher name, logo, and product design are our intellectual property. The fishing reports generated for your account are yours to use personally. You may not republish, sell, or redistribute reports without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WaterWatcher LLC is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse, or for any other reason at our discretion with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Massachusetts.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email with 14 days notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
